My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A bit more in-depth characterization than the first book…but in the end still rather shallow. I bought this book before the first one, simply because of the awesome backcover text. However, after first reading Sleeping Giants a lot of the mystery that the bext book proclaims is gone: you already know what is suddenly standing there in London. Perhaps a tip: try to read book 2 first, this might give a total different experience.
In overall: fun, okay-ish read but the plotting was a bit farout and predictable.
