My rating: 3 of 5 stars A bit more in-depth characterization than the first book…but in the end still rather shallow. I bought this book before the first one, simply because of the awesome backcover text. However, after first reading Sleeping Giants a lot of the mystery that the bext book proclaims is gone: you…
My rating: 4 of 5 stars Still surprisingly fun read. I didn’t know a thing about this universe (Warhammer 40k) but the exciting action and intriguing concepts (humanity vs religion, etc) are real neat to behold. Will definitely read the next book in the series.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars Surprisingly funny. The last chapter is a bit strange as it is basically a new story, unrelated to the first 70% of the book. Will definitely read the next book in the series.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars Nice debut. But without a clear hero, the story feels a bit vague.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars Actually a must-read. However, the author seems a bit too full of himself and also provides way too many examples for the (few) novel points he likes to bring across.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars A seemingly random group of text written by Coupland, some fiction, some nonfiction. Some very good, interesting and/or funny…but some also awfully boring, repetitive. I didn’t know what to expect, but the title had me captivated…unfortunately the title didn’t deliver. So sad.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars Funny, boring (in a good way), but all the chapters are more like barely related short stories. I’d love to see a full, novel staring Pirx.
